The video has reve@led the man was saved by a heroic customer who overpowered the shopkeeper. The customer sprang to the rescue of Rajnish Singh Thakur in Mumbai. Mr Thakur, who is physically challenged, was in intens!ve care in hosp!tal for hours. Four people have been @rrested; nthe pol!ce are hunt!ng for two more suspects.
The inc!dent occurred on Tuesday night when a group of six men pulled up to Mr Thakur’s shop, which sells mobile phones, determined to exact rev^enge because he had put up posters in May in the Chembur area warn!ng that extort!onists were thre@tening shop owners to make regular payments
of Rs 1,000 to them.
Anyone who didn’t fall in line was w@rned that his or her shop could be set on f!re, the posters said. Mr Thakur asked people to contact him or his brother with information on the thugs. Though some of the extortionists were @rrested, they were released after paying a fine. The secur!ty cameras disclosed how the assa!lants entered the shop with the sw0rd hidden behind his back. The four extort!onists were also arre^sted for the ri0ts created in the shop.
